Hello to all our members, supporters and animal lovers!!
Summer has finally arrived and along with it we are already having multiple litters of kittens and puppies turned in to the shelter on a daily basis. We need your help! First of all, please have your pets spayed/neutered. We have scheduled two days in June for very reduced cost spay/neuters for cats. Please check the
calendar of events
for the dates and times. If you would like to make an appointment to have your dog spayed/neutered please call the shelter on the last Thursday of the month to make an appointment. We are also in desperate need of foster homes for kittens and puppies who are just too young to go into adoption. Can you please open your heart and home to these precious babies so they can have a chance to stay healthy until they are old enough to be adopted? From March through May
2007, we had 283 puppies and 544 kittens come to the shelter, since March 1st of this year we have already received 66 puppies and 52 kittens. It is very expensive to provide the proper nutrition and the necessary healthcare for these babies. Any donation of money, puppy/kitten food or milk supplements such as KMR and Esbilac would be very appreciated. These supplements are essential when we have to bottle feed babies who do not have their mothers with them.
We have developed a very informative power point presentation about the Humane Society and Adoption Center at PAWS. Let us know if you belong to an organization or club that would be interested in having us speak to their members about PAWS and all of our different programs. We always love the opportunity to promote PAWS and to educate the public about all we do in addition to telling about all the great animals we have up for adoption.
